The other night my family watched a movie that made us laugh. We have a Christmas tradition of watching Christmas movies that started on a weekend away for Ian’s 50th birthday nearly ten years ago. Some of them are ridiculous and have nothing to do with the true meaning of Christmas. However, with the intensity of life, some light relief never goes astray. The movie ‘Deck the Halls’ certainly took us by surprise when I found myself laughing my head off, and my daughter started laughing as I was laughing; it was infectious.
Ecclesiastes 3:4 says, “A time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance.”
The Bible is clear there is a time to laugh; honestly, it feels so good and helps release stress. I am glad God created laughter, such a good gift from Heavenly Father. Laughter truly is the best medicine.
