A transcript of Leisa’s Musing ( https://app.podvault.net/subscribe.php?pid=hst_8b34a21dd3cb000ddcffeab1 )
Good morning. It is Monday, the 11th of August. I haven’t recorded a musing for nearly a month.
A lot has happened, so I took a short break. Now I’m ready to share what God is placing on my heart.

Revival Week Overview
Last week brought spiritual growth. My church hosted what we call Revival Week.
During the week, combined churches gather to worship God, hear His word, encourage one another, and experience His presence.
Each Revival Week feels unique. I never quite know what to expect, but God always moves.
We meet nightly to sing His praises, seek Him, and honour the Most High God. He uses this time to refresh us for the next 12 months.
Monday: Facing Your Giants
The week opened with the story of David and facing your giants.
The message resonated when the speaker played a clip from The House of David on Prime Video.
It shows David as a shepherd boy, picking up smooth stones without armour, then walking toward Goliath with faith.
Whatever your giants are, don’t shrink back. Walk toward them with God’s power and presence.
The enemy isn’t as big as he appears. Fear and anxiety can distort our view, but God says, “I’ve got this. Face your giant.”
Tuesday: Digging Ditches
Tuesday’s message came from 2 Kings 3:16–20. I didn’t grasp the depth at first, but it stayed with me.
The prophet Elisha told the kings of Israel, Judah, and Edom to dig ditches in a dry valley.
They faced a water crisis during battle. God promised water, but it wouldn’t come from rain.
As they dug, water filled the ditches. The armies drank and grew stronger.
It reminded me of the movie Holes, which I’ve been watching with students.
In it, boys in a detention camp dig holes as punishment, not realising they’re searching for treasure.
Eventually, they find it in the desert, and one boy inherits it.
The lesson is similar: when you’re in a valley, dig a ditch. Water will come. Refreshing, healing, and hope will follow.
Wednesday: Riding the Wave
Wednesday’s theme focused on a wave.
When we testify of God’s goodness and hope fills us, the Spirit sends a wave.
God brings water and treasure into barren places. We ride the wave and let His glory flow through us.
Thursday: Getting Unstuck
Thursday’s message was “Get unstuck from your stuck.”
This hit home for me. While digging ditches, I sometimes get stuck in circumstances.
The encouragement was clear: take one step, then another. Trust God to guide each one.
Friday: Lessons from Samson
Friday’s focus was Samson. He stood strong, held a position, and knew his enemies. Yet he carried great weakness.
He revealed his secret to Delilah. When he did, God’s power left him, and he became vulnerable.
God gave him one last chance to redeem what he lost. That choice cost him his life.
The lessons: don’t waste potential. Know your weakness. Know your strength. Trust God to work through both.
When we are weak, He is strong. We live by His grace, not our own strength.
Closing Reflections
I ended the week encouraged. God is in control of everything.and absolutely trustworthy.
Even when I’m still digging ditches and seeking breakthrough, I can trust Him completely the water will come.
He frees us from stuck places when we keep our eyes on Him. Faith in action as we do our part, which is to dig and He does His part to provide the water we so desperately need.
This is what God has done in my life through Revival Week 2025.
I’m grateful for the chance to worship and connect with the body of Christ.
Have a great week. I look forward to sharing more soon.
Blessings,
Leisa
